After I'd created my website the task of making my business cards became a lot clearer, firstly I know exactly what information I would need to put on them and secondly, it gave me almost a visual template to work to as I felt like the site and cards needed to share a visual link. I wanted to demonstrate how materials and print and a big part of my practice so I chose to print the cards onto a very heavyweight uncoated card. I think this has worked really well, it give the card a certain weight of authority and people question the material when they receive one. I wasn't sure how well the ink would sit on this sort of material as theres not really any colour profiling settings or configuration for a material like this but I think as I've only used black it has come out really nicely.
